Our Hood Home Service Milkmen (and women) are Independent Distributors who have spent most of their lives delivering Hood's products to homes and small businesses across southern New England.
As an Independent Distributor, you own your own business: You purchase a protected territory with an existing customer base, the right to use the Hood Home Service name and logo, and have your own business name. In addition, we provide you with office support, literature (catalogs, flyers, product information), advertising and a toll-free voice mail system for your customers. At your option, we make available computers, cell-phones and pagers at nominal cost.
We even provide you with new customers and new customer leads. Calls come in from various sources: our website, truck advertisement, the yellow pages, customer referrals, newspaper ads or our Home-Caller Program. These customers and leads are immediately given to the distributor to be followed up and signed on as Hood Home Service customers.
The milk truck can be purchased outright, or leased on a very favorable program through Home Service. We currently use Mitsubishi Diesels (fuel-efficient and low maintenance) custom-fitted with a 14' refrigerated box and a 6' freezer. A CDL is not required.
The required investment for a Hood Home Service Distributorship is surprisingly low and, at a fraction of the price of a franchise, is a perfect way to become your own boss.
We pay you while you train with one of our experienced coordinators, who know the business inside-out and will show you all the details of running a successful business.
We ask that you have a clear driving record and good credit. Needless to say, people skills, a neat appearance and a positive attitude are a must in dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis.
